Have you ever really thought about the steps it really takes to build a house?

Here is a breakdown of roughly the 30 steps it takes to construct a new home.

  • Building Inspector Notes
    Dealing with the city or county inspectors is just one part of the contractor’s job. The inspectors must pass the work at every stage.

    Clearing

  • Rough Grading
  • Stone installation for Driveway
  • Footing Layout by Engineer
  • Dig Engineered Footing
  • Pour Footing
  • Engineer Sets Brick Points
  • Foundation Block & Brick
  • Backfill Foundation
  • Framing/ Install Windows
  • Rough Ins (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC)
  • Brick F/P and or Brick Walls Construct
  • Roofing
  • Siding
  • Pour Garage Slab
  • Install Flooring (tile, hardwood)
  • Insulation
  • Install Vapor Barrier in Crawl
  • Sheet Rock Installation
  • Install Hot Water Heater/ HVAC
  • Install Cabinets and Vanities
  • Paint
  • Install Counter Tops, Vanities, Final Plumbing Fixtures
  • Finish Hardwood Floors
  • Install Electrical Fixtures, plates etc
  • Rough in Sidewalk
  • Rough in Irrigation System
  • Sidewalk and Driveway Finish
  • Fine Grade Yard
  • Finish and set irrigation heads
  • Landscaping Installation/Sod
