New Kent County is located east of Richmond and borders the Metro counties of Henrico and Hanover. Despite not physically touching the City of Richmond, it is quite close to Downtown and is accessed via Interstate 64 and the 295 Beltway, giving New Kent excellent access to most points in the Metro. Route 60, also called ‘Richmond Road’ or ‘Williamsburg Road,’ is another popular way to access points in the area.
New Kent, on a percentage basis, was one of the fastest growing countries in the US from the period of 2000-2010 increasing by over 35%.
MLS groups all sales in the county into Zone 46. During the early-middle 2000’s, several large scale subdivisions, were brought online including the golfing communities of Viniterra (surrounding the New Kent Winery and Golf Course) and Brickshire. Patriots Landing is another large planned community located in the eastern section of New Kent.
